The last year has been a busy one for bassist Ben Rubin. While performing countless gigs with his longtime band mate Jonah Smith, he has found the time to work with such luminaries as Ital Shur, David Ryan Harris, Lucy Woodward, Doug Wamble, and The Revelations (Featuring Tre Williams).

Being well versed in most genres of music, as well as being equally at home on the electric and Acoustic basses, Ben has the flexibility to work on a wide range of projects. It is precisely this openness that Ben strives for, always searching out new ways to express whatever vision/style the music calls for.

Ben has been based in Brooklyn, NY for the last 10 years. During this tenure, he has had the opportunity to play with Aaron Goldberg, Maya Azucena, Jonah Smith,  Bob Reynolds, Obed Calvaire, Dave Cook, Oli Rockberger, Doug Wamble, Lucius, Jamie Mcclean, Clara Lafaro, Lucy Woodward, Somi, The Rinse, Eric Deutch, Eric Krazno, David Soler, Aaron Comes, and Tony Mason to name a few.
